CFDA series
The Council’s Masters program awards graduates of the nation’s top design schools paid internships with designers, design firms and retail establishments. The Council also sponsors “Business of Fashion” panels to educate and inform members of the design community. Past speakers include Nicole Miller, Zac Posen, Narciso Rodriguez and Nanette Lepore, as well as representatives from Saks, Barneys and Vogue.

FIT’s popular School of Continuing and Professional Studies offers evening and weekend degree, certificate, and noncredit classes for students and working professionals alike.

Executive Education Opportunities

With every industry today under pressure to stay ahead of what once was, NYC offers an extensive array of Executive Education training programs to keep busy fashion executives abreast of the latest innovations.

Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT)
FIT's School of Graduate Studies offers masters degrees in Art Market Principles and Practices; Fashion and Textile Studies: History, Theory, Museum Practice; Exhibition Design; and Illustration, as well as Masters of Professional Studies degrees in Global Fashion Management and Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing and Management. In addition, the school offers programming in advanced management, women’s leadership, and specialized study for intimate apparel professionals.

LIM College
With concentrations in Fashion Management and Entrepreneurship, LIM College’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program educates students in advanced concepts and theories of management, leadership, and entrepreneurship within the context of global challenges and specifically for the application of those theories within the business of fashion. This program is designed for working fashion industry professionals, as well as for international professionals and entrepreneurs.

Pratt Institute
Pratt’s Design Management Program is a two-year program combining design and business education for an executive education experience that focuses on strategic management for a number of design industries. The program leads to a Master of Professional Studies degree.
