Need help finding a factory to produce your line? Free of charge, the Garment Industry Development Corporation (GIDC), a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening New York City’s apparel industry, connects designers and labels with high quality producers in New York City.
Whether you are an emerging designer, large branded retailer, or some place in between, the GIDC Sourcing Department will help you to find the right New York City factory to meet your garment needs.
GIDC’s Sourcing Department:
- Counsels designers, start-up apparel firms, and manufacturers through the production process
- Networks with clothing manufacturers, retailers, and public sector uniform buyers to understand their needs for domestic production
- Identifies qualified factories and provides technical assistance services if necessary
- Matches contractors with appropriate sourcing opportunities
- Assists factories in growing their businesses by broadening their customer base, upgrading their services, and expanding their markets
